Women’s Care to Sponsor Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks Walk

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as you may already know.  Women’s Care ObGyn is dedicated to helping in the fight against breast cancer first and foremost through our day-to-day work of taking care of patients.  Part of your yearly visit – the “Annual Exam” – is dedicated to a breast exam, as well as education about breast self-awareness.  In addition, it is during these visits that we help patients keep track of their need for mammogram or breast ultrasound.  We also screen patients for additional genetic counselling or additional screening based on both personal and family history.  These are important parts of the yearly visit!

In addition to all that is included in the yearly visit as discussed above, Women’s Care ObGyn now has 3D Mammography in both of our offices!  This is a great way to combine your annual visit with your mammogram.  Our mammograms are read by local radiologists in the community.  We are very glad to offer this convenience to patients, as we believe making the screening process easier encourages more patients to get it done.

Women’s Care ObGyn is also giving back to the community this year by sponsoring the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks walk.  The walk is at the Cool Insuring Arena on Sunday October 28th, with registration at 10AM, and the walk at 12PM.  Further information can be found at here.  Look for the Women’s Care team!
